Originally from a small town in Western Massachusetts. My mother decided to put me into pee-wee football so I would stop running into walls and crashing my bike going off of large jumps. I played football from 5th grade till high school and stayed active with track & field. While sports taught me about community, my counselor wanted me to stay out of detention so she put me in a theatre class to gain a bit more discipline - which began my trajectory into the arts . Staying active through out my life, I received my BA in Theatre from Salem State University and later my Master of Fine Arts in Acting from Northern Illinois University. While gaining empathy and understanding of the human condition I took CrossFit and Power Lifting classes while I lived in NYC. This changed my view on fitness and how a group of people with many different backgrounds can come together as one. When I'm not on stage, auditioning or on set - I hope to help others achieve their goals and stay optimistic - Anything is possible!
After moving to the Edgewater/Andersonville area - I was looking for fitness center that would challenge me, keep me focused, and help me strive for more. I stumbled upon PXM -after being a member here for over a year, getting to know the people and the staff - I realized that I loved this community and who I was when I entered the building. I felt I wanted to spend more time, learn, and be more involved. And what better way to do that then become a coach.
I want to help others by building up confidence, understanding of technique/movement, and gaining empathy for the people around us. We are all at different points in our life, different levels of fitness and health. By taking each other in, listening, being self-aware, and lifting each other up - we can create a bond that is strong, addictive and unbreakable.
