I grew up in the suburbs of Detroit, playing a wide variety of competitive sports up and throughout high school. I started doing CrossFit while on an internship in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2014 and have been doing it ever since. I found PXM when I moved to Chicago in 2019, and was an active member for 4 years before becoming a coach in January 2024. Fitness and physical competition have always been integral parts of my life. While my background is in Industrial Engineering, my passion and drive comes from the reward of bettering my physical health through structured athletic training, and teaching others how to do the same.
Years of constant physical activity without a structured approach had left me on the roller coaster of injury and recovery. When I broke my ankle (for the 3rd time) playing soccer in 2021, I was tired of the cyclical nature of setback and buildup, without ever getting to the level I desired. I was determined to understand why this pattern was so habitual, so I set out to gain knowledge of optimal movement patterns, recovery habits and maintenance strategies. This never ending pursuit of learning is what ultimately led me to coaching, and is what I use to teach others in their training.
I believe that everyone can live longer, happier, healthier lives by prioritizing their physical and mental health. As a coach, I enjoy teaching our athletes how to train for longevity, so that their personal goals are never inhibited by their physical abilities at any age. There is nothing more rewarding than helping an athlete succeed at a goal they’ve set, trained, and worked hard for over the course of time.
